Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter makes move to remove father’s last name

Divorces can always be messy and it seems clear that in the case of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the kids seem to want to stay with their mother. Although the celebrity couple were finally able to reach a divorce agreement in December 2024 following an eight year legal battle, there has been a significant fallout and the legalities are far from over. As mum and dad continue to fight over their million-dollar winery, among other more disturbing allegations, both their adopted and biological children have been showing support for legendary actress Jolie. Shiloh, Zahara, and Maddox have already taken legal steps to remove Pitt from their last names and now Vivienne is the latest, shortly after her 18th birthday. Legal documents attained by TMZ suggest that Vivienne is going through some of the final necessary steps when it comes to ditching her dad’s last name, as she has published notice of her petition in the Los Angeles Daily Journal once a week for four consecutive weeks, while calling for anyone who opposes it to submit a written letter before a final hearing. Well, there’s certainly one person who might not be that keen on the change. Brad meanwhile is largely estranged from his children, so it’s perhaps no surprise that they’re removing any memory of him, particularly if some of the claims in Jolie’s more recent lawsuits prove to be true. One of the most alarming allegations in the recent battle over their French winery saw Jolie state that she was simply trying to make herself financially independent as she looked to escape ‘her controlling and abusive ex husband’. Vivienne is following in the footsteps of sister Zahara, who also made the legal change earlier this summer, having collected her diploma at her graduation under the name Zahara Marley Jolie. She filed hers just a day after her brother Maddox, while Shiloh was the first to set the trend back in 2024. After Pitt and Jolie originally met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith, they went on to have three children together and adopted another three, but it seems as if Jolie has taken on the brunt of the parenting in more recent years since their divorce, and she recently opened up about talking to them about death, having lost her own mother to breast cancer at a young age. Meanwhile, the break-up and divorce hasn’t been easy on Pitt either, as he suggested that he went ‘off the wagon’ following the intense divorce proceedings. In a new profile with Esquire Pitt said he had been feeling suicidal in the past, adding: “I’ve never been suicidal except for one little period. And in that one little period, I just thought — I just couldn’t — just didn’t see a way out. “The pain was so oppressive that — I wasn’t going to act on this, but I could feel — I could feel the cold steel of the bullet in my head, and it felt like relief. “I thought, ‘Oh, okay, now I understand’ — I understand suicide, in the sense that it’s just relief. It’s just looking for relief from the pain. “But I also think we have incredible survival instincts. And for me, that immediately kicked in.” LADbible has previously contacted the representatives for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for comment. Farewell to a legend: Clint Eastw…See more…

But behind the iconic squint and the legendary swagger, reality has finally caught up with the man who taught generations how to stand tall. In a statement that sent immediate shockwaves across the globe, Clint Eastwood’s children have delivered the unthinkable news. The invincible giant is facing his toughest showdown yet, and the world may never be the same again. They did not speak today as the privileged offspring of cinematic royalty, nor as guarded public figures seeking to shield an image. Instead, they spoke simply and rawly as a loving family watching their ultimate anchor slowly drift into uncharted, terrifying waters. Choosing radical honesty over quiet denial, and overwhelming love over Hollywood mythology, they pulled back the curtain on a deeply private struggle. While they chose to keep exact medical records locked away from the glaring public eye, the weight of their message was crystal clear: their father is locked in a fierce battle, the situation is extraordinarily serious, and every single day now feels like a fragile, hard-fought miracle. Suddenly, the bustling, loud world that Clint Eastwood single-handedly helped shape, define, and revolutionize has fallen uncharacteristically, hauntingly quiet. Across Hollywood and beyond, legendary co-stars, powerhouse directors, and millions of devoted fans spanning multiple generations are forced to confront an uncomfortable, heartbreaking truth. They are staring directly into the fragile mortality of a man who always felt larger than life, a towering monument of American cinema who seemed destined to outlive the very medium he conquered. As news spreads like wildfire, an overwhelming tidal wave of messages continues to pour in from every corner of the globe. But these tributes are entirely different from the usual accolades celebrating box office records or Academy Awards. Instead, people are stepping forward to offer deep, personal gratitude. They are thanking him not just for unforgettable masterpieces like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, and Gran Torino, but for something far rarer. They are thanking him for his unwavering courage, his trademark grit, and a distinct, old-school moral clarity that has guided countless lives through turbulent times. ReadMore>>>
